Because with Phase one, we would be using existing train tracks, the process is fairly straight forward. The big cost will be laying the tracks for the other phases of construction. There are several ways of laying tracks, but the most cost-effective system would be to use the LR55 system. This system is quick to install (Around 100m a week can be installed, 10 days per Km, 4 to six months for the Airport line) and doesn’t go as deep as underground services etc, and when it’s completed, other vehicles can use the road at the same time, especially good around the city centre and areas of high-density buildings and narrow roads.
